Whose Cornerstone Will You Be?

Whose Cornerstone Will You Be?

Emerging from the heat of the Jerusalem sun, I entered the damp coolness of the Western Wall tunnels.  Towering in front of me were slabs of rock so heavy that historians and archaeologists differ on how they were moved into place.  Inexplicably, the voice of Bob Marley appeared in my head singing, “The stone that the builders refused will always be the head cornerstone.

The song played in my head on repeat.  I smiled at the seeming randomness of it.  But I knew it wasn’t random.  Like many of Bob Marley’s lyrics, these were grounded in scripture.  Even maasu habonim haita l’rosh pinah (The stone that the builders rejected is the head cornerstone.)

If you’re going to get a song stuck in your head in the Holy Land, it should be based on scripture, right?

THE STONE THAT THE BUILDER REFUSED…

Over and over, I thought about the stone that the builder refused.  What did it mean?  And why couldn’t I get it out of my head?

The answer hit me like a ton of bricks (no pun intended).  Having felt like a rejected stone too often in my dating life, and I was building Hitchcraft Dating to help others who felt the same way.

Too many times in my dating life, I didn’t have the courage to walk up to the person I found attractive.  Too many times, I had no idea what to say.  And sometimes I did score a date, but then had no idea what to do from there.

Failure after epic failure.

…WILL ALWAYS BE THE HEAD CORNERSTONE.

This is definitely shorter, less instructional, and more intense than I wanted my first post to be. Having spent over a year writing and editing the very straightforward *FREE* STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO DATING SMARTER AND FINDING LOVE FASTERI feel a little weird leading off with something so deeply personal and religious.  But I needed to publish this because it is true.  This post not only reflects what I feel at the moment, it reflects the essential goal of Hitchcraft Dating, which is to help you become the cornerstone for your special someone.

So that’s what we’re going to do — you, me and the Hitchcraft Dating villagers that join us.

If you haven’t done so already, become an official villager by signing up for the *FREE* STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE TO DATING SMARTER AND FINDING LOVE FASTER by either clicking the link or entering your information in the sidebar.
